Useful information about obtaining a driving licence.
The minimum training required under the Driving Licence Act for a passenger car licence, irrespective of the driving school, is:
- EAS training (compulsory 4-hour theory course, if you do not already hold a driving licence)
- 10 hours of driving lessons (50 minutes each), of which no more than half may be completed on a driving simulator
- Risk training (RTK) comprising 4 hours of compulsory theory lessons and 4 hours of practical driving lessons. A simulator may be used for the majority of the practical driving lessons.
The driving instruction required by law therefore comprises a total of 10 hours of basic instruction and 4 hours of driving instruction as part of the risk training.
All our training packages include the statutory number of lessons required before you can sit your driving test. However, it is important to note that in Finland, only just over half of those taking their driving test pass with the minimum number of lessons. With us, you can choose the course package that suits you best and, if necessary, upgrade to a more comprehensive one. You can also purchase the required number of additional driving lessons to go with each course package, ensuring you are fully prepared for the driving test and for driving on the road.

You can also choose a traditional invoice as the payment method, in which case the guardian is responsible for the costs of the minor’s driving license.

The KSL reference interest rate refers to the reference interest rate referred to in the Consumer Protection Act in accordance with Section 12 of the Interest Act, which is published by the Bank of Finland twice a year and is valid for 6 months at a time. The applicable reference interest rate may not exceed 5%, i.e. the annual interest rate of the loan may not exceed 20%, as provided for in the Consumer Protection Act.
Example purchase: €1,500, with a 12-month payment option. Annual interest rate: 0%. Credit cost/month: €5.60. Actual annual interest rate: 4.01%. Credit costs: €61.60. Total payable: €1,562. Installment/month: €130.60, 12 installments. The credit cost is 0.28%/month of the agreed credit limit, however, no more than €12.50/month. The credit cost is charged in monthly invoices. A driving school account is a continuous credit with a minimum credit limit of €2,000. Other uses of the credit may result in a higher or lower annual percentage rate of interest.
